N3589 Name: asymmetrica, erecta, pyrimidine requiring Price: £11.00
Donor
  • University of Missouri George Redei
Locus Photo
photo of Arabidopsis plant
Stock type: individual line
Material type: seed

Description
Biochemical, Colour, Form
Phenotype
asymmetric, lobed rosette leaves, leaf edges slightly curled under; compact plants, blunt siliques; leaves but not cotyledons white, conditional lethal; 2,5-dimethyl-4-aminopyrimidine or thiamine restores to normal; high temperature sensitive (28C).
N3601 Name: glabra, constans, Price: £11.00
Donor
  • University of Missouri George Redei
Locus Photo

Stock type: individual line
Material type: seed

Description
Biochemical, Colour, Form, Flowering
Phenotype
leaves but not cotyledons white/pale; conditional lethal; blocked in the synthesis of the pyrimidine part of vitamin B1; 2,5-dimethyl-4-aminopyrimidine or thiamine restores to normal; late flowering, many leaves rounder, relatively insensitive to vernalization or incandescent light and short days; trichomes absent on stems and leaves; compact and relatively semi-dwarf plants.
N3602 Name: Redei line Price: £11.00
Donor

Stock type: individual line
Material type: seed

Description
Colour, Form
Phenotype
dwarf, height about 1/5 (8-10 cm) of W.T.; small rosettes with dark-green, round and somewhat lobed leaves; bushy plants; strong and hard stems at senescence.
N3708 Name: female gametophyte factor Price: £11.00
Donor
  • University of Missouri George Redei
Locus Photo
photo of Arabidopsis plant
Stock type: individual line
Material type: seed

Description
Fertility, Form, Biochemical
Phenotype
mutant gf allele not transmitted through the female gamete resulting in non-Mendelian segregation, inherited relatively normally through the pollen, reduced recombination in vicinity of gf in the female resulting in abnormal segregation ratios of linked markers; linked markers of this stock are long hypocotyl, asymmetric leaves, pyrimidine requiring (gf hy as/py); plants carrying gf have ca. 62 percent seed-set; gf maintained as heterozygote, all loci segregating.
N3713 Name: Redei line Price: £11.00
Donor
  • University of Missouri George Redei
Photo
photo of Arabidopsis plant
Stock type: individual line
Material type: seed

Description
Form, Fertility
Phenotype
named by Redei as 'dl' (distorted leaf); cytoplasmic mutation induced by the nuclear recessive gene chm1-1, but the mutator is no longer present; irregular leaf shape, rough leaf surface and reduced fertility; phenotype is associated with structural modification of the plastids.
N3854 Name: argonaute Price: £11.00
Donor
  • University of Wisconsin, Madison Kathy Barton
  • University of Wisconsin, Madison Karyn Lynn
Locus Photo
photo of Arabidopsis plant
Stock type: individual line
Material type: seed

Description
Form
Phenotype
embryos have cotyledon primordia splayed apart; seedlings fail to unbend upon emergency from the seed coat causing poor germination without gibberellin in the medium; narrow cotyledons; presumptive shoot apical meristem (SAM) in embryo is enlarged; SAM produces very small narrow or radial leaves and infrequently terminates activity after production of a single pin-shaped organ (similar to the pinhead phenotype) which eventually becomes a crown of arrested organ primordia; axillary meristems are rare but frequency increase at low temperature; narrow or radial floral organs, not self fertile; backcrossed once to wild type; maintained as heterozygote.
N3871 Name: cuc1-1 cuc2-1 Price: £11.00
Donor
  • Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST) Masao Tasaka
Locus Photo
photo of Arabidopsis plant
Stock type: individual line
Material type: seed

Phenotype
semi-dominant; cuc1-1 cuc2-1/+ double mutant, homozygous for cuc1-1 and heterozygous for cuc2-1; isolated from descendants of the chl1-6 (chlorate resistant) mutant carrying both an endogenous transposon (Tag1) and a maize transposon (Activator AC); phenotype of segregating descendants is the following: a) cuc1-1 cuc2-1 exhibits cotyledons fused along both sides to form a single cup-shaped cotyledon, shoot apical meristem is missing and no shoots are produced under normal conditions, seedling lethal, shoots can be induced from calli and produce flowers with severly fused sepals and stamens and with reduced petals, septa and ovules; b) cuc1-1 cuc2-1 /+ produce shoots with more severly fused sepals than cuc1-1 single mutant plants, facilitating identification of heterozygous adult plants; c) cuc1-1 produce shoots with sepals slightly fused; CUC2 encodes a protein of the NAC-domain family; maintained as heterozygote; backcrossed 3 times to Ler.
